2 questions for today:

1. Three great legends from different fields came together for one common purpose. Who/ what?

2. A device that was auctioned recently, was put to use over 70 years ago. Identify it.

Then tell me, how the 2nd answer connects to one of the people in the 1st pic.

Cracked completely by ManishA & NitishK.

Answer: Wilt Chamberlain, Arnold Schwarzenneger and Andre the Giant who acted together in Conan the Destroyer. 2. The original ‘device’used for the title character in King Kong.

For the connection, the popular answer was: Andre the Giant fought Kingkong Bundy, but what I originally had thought of asking was the fact that both KingKong and Andre the Giant were given the nickname: “Eighth Wonder of the World“, but I still give the points for the previous answer.

Sounds a bit complicated, but I promise you its verrry interesting.

(1) Shows 3 great people meeting each other. 2 famous people on the sides, and in the middle a person who is said to be the first in his profession in Bollywood.

(2) Another significant person in the same profession, who coined a famous term to describe one of the gentlemen in (1).

The last 3 visuals connect to two more terms in entertainment that another person in the same profession, coined.

Question:  Put funda, wherever possible.

NitishK was the only one to crack it. Brilliant!

Answer: 1. V.P.Sathe was the first PRO <public relations officer> in Bollywood. In (1) he is seen with K.A.Abbas & Raj Kapoor, with whom he worked for many years 2. Bunny Reuben coined the term ‘Showman’ for Raj Kapoor. K.Razdan coined the term ‘Superstar’ for Dharmendra <apparently the 1st ever usage of such a term anywhere in the world>, after the success of Haathi mere Saathi and Aradhana. He was also the first to use the name ‘Dreamgirl’ for Hema Malini. link

Connect, the story (1) to the people (2) to the event (3).

Cracked by VarunG, VarunS, CntDumb & Arun.

Answer: Instant Karma! by John Lennon. The Shining takes its title from a line from the song <wiki:King has said he was going to call the book The Shine, before realizing that “shine” has been used as a derogatory term for Black people>. Ehsaan and Loy <and not Shankar Mahadevan> formed a group named after the song which gave us remixes like Dil Kya Kare and Bahon Mein Chale aao. The Make Some Noise Project by Amnesty International released an album – Instant Karma – a compilation album of various artists covering songs of John Lennon to benefit AIl’s campaign to alleviate the crisis in Darfur.
